About Jim Fletcher

A Lifetime Dedicated to Protecting What You've Built

Jim Fletcher has practiced for 20 years, and focuses exclusively on one discipline: estate planning, and keeping the wealth of hardworking families, physicians, and entrepreneurs out of the hands of creditors, plaintiffs, and predatory litigation.

Attorney Jim Fletcher

Philosophy

Asset Protection Is Not a Product. It's a Process.

Jim believes that true asset protection is never a one-size-fits-all transaction. It begins with a candid conversation about risk — who you are, what you've built, and what threatens it. From there, he designs a layered, legally sound structure tailored to your specific circumstances. His approach draws on decades of experience, a deep knowledge of international trust law, and an unwavering commitment to doing things right the first time.

"The best time to build your fortress is before the storm arrives. The second-best time is right now."

— Jim Fletcher

Career

Decades of Focused Practice

Jim began his legal career during law school as a prosecutor under the Georgia Third Year Practice Act.   He has been a partner at multiple law firms, and has developed a broad foundation in estate planning and business law.      Over time, he recognized that the clients who needed him most were those facing real threats to their families, to their accumulated wealth — and that the legal profession was underserving them.      He founded Fletcher Estate Planning LLC to fill that gap, building a boutique practice dedicated exclusively to asset protection planning for high-net-worth individuals and families.

Who Jim Works With

Clients Who Have Too Much to Risk

Jim's practice is deliberately selective. He works with a limited number of clients each year to ensure every engagement receives his full attention. His clients share one thing in common: they have built significant wealth and understand that protecting it requires the same level of care and expertise that building it did.

Physicians & Medical Professionals

Doctors, surgeons, and specialists facing elevated malpractice exposure who need structures that work before a claim is filed.

Entrepreneurs & Business Owners

Founders and operators whose personal wealth is intertwined with business risk and who need clean separation between the two.

Affluent Families

Multi-generational families seeking to preserve and transfer wealth with minimal exposure to estate taxes, creditors, and litigation.

Real Estate Investors

Investors with significant property portfolios who need LLC structuring and liability insulation across multiple assets.
